Augusta Margaret River Speedway held it’s first meeting in March 1964. Back then the small group of dedicated enthusiast’s ran on a simple oval track built in a used gravel pit with an earthen wall, no catch fence and few facilities at the site on Wallcliffe road where the track is still located today. Since then that enthusiasm has been passed down through many club members and the track now boasts a full concrete wall, catch fence, track lights, bar and canteen facilities and is considered one of the premier country tracks in the State.Track length = 480mtrs Width: Straights = 16mtrs Corners = 18mtrsConcrete Wall Height = 1.1mtrsCatch Fence Height = 4.5mtrs
